About our
Daytox Program

The Westcoast Genesis Society Daytox Program is an integrated, holistic approach that blends various evidence-based therapies, such as AA/NA, SMART recovery, Indigenous Wellness Model, Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy (CBT), and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (RBT).

The Daytox program is comprised of four modules:

focuses on foundations of substance use, addiction, and treatment options; as well as exploring and understanding our triggers

emphasizes developing coping skills and emotional regulation techniques through self-monitoring and reviewing problem solving strategies

examines the role of relationships, how to identify healthy relationships, set boundaries and utilize effective communication strategies through conflict resolution, non-violent communication skills, anger management and understanding and cultivating forgiveness

targets nourishing recovery through nutrition, lifestyle balance and reviewing skills for budgeting, grocery shopping, finding employment and goal-setting.

This is a structured delivery program that is 4-weeks in duration and 4-hours per day.

The program has been designed to cater to the needs of those on conditional release.

The inclusion of motivational interviewing and positive psychology approaches ensures that the program is client-centered, strengths-based, and focuses on the positive aspects of the individuals life.
